Interesting and plausible, it's the bigger independent new voter turnout that will determine it. Apparently the polls just focus on "likely" voters, and canvas by phone. I read where many people just have cell phone nowadays, and they tend to be independents or Democratic leaning. I kind of thought Kerry lost the election on the inappropriate comments on Cheney's daughter, but maybe that's minor? This site just about covers it all, overwhelmingly so in fact. realclearpolitics.com
