October 18, 2004 Driving back to Hoboken from New England, through the gorgeous autumn display of Massachusetts, the state George Bush loves to hate, I finally picked up Air America when I came close to New York. The station now has ads by the Wall Street Journal and Barron's. If those institutions are investing ad dollars in Air America, it means the end of the Bush era is on the horizon. It may not even happen this election, but there are many forces in motion now that will lead to the outing of the evil neocons and to the end of their reign. The history is being told in many books and movies that are coming out this year. The mass media news is still spouting propaganda for the war machine, but when the financial community hops on board with the Bush-despising Air America, you know the end is in sight. The house of cards will come down. Nixon, remember, won by a landslide in 1972 and was out in 1974. It's astonishing that so many people still support the catastrophic presidency of Bush. But the bad news is spreading, as each military family experiences it first hand. They can't keep in contained forever. Whoever wins the election, the struggle against corporate tyranny will continue. davidcogswell.com
