So, what does Mary Cheney have to say about the whole business? Has anybody had the manners to consult her and let her have the say on the whole business?

Let's hear from Mary! [I suppose she has had a say and I should ask Google what she said - Edit time up and I can't find what she thinks; I suppose the Republicans have told her to say nothing lest she deliver votes to Kerry!!]

PS: I asked and here's something it came up with ... ooops, a Republican mis-spoke and Dick Cheney and UncleWest should go and punch him in the nose for what he called her: washingtontimes.com

<Keyes said: "The essence of ... family life remains procreation. If we embrace homosexuality as a proper basis for marriage, we are saying that it's possible to have a marriage state that in principal excludes procreation and is based simply on the premise of selfish hedonism."

Asked whether that meant Mary Cheney "is a selfish hedonist," Keyes said: "That goes by definition. Of course she is."

Keyes took to the airwaves again Wednesday to try and put the remark in context. WBBM-AM, Chicago, reported he denied the comment was meant to slam Mary Cheney and blamed the media for taking a generalization and making it personal. Keyes said if he had a lesbian daughter he would love her but tell her she was sinning

Keyes isn't backing down. suntimes.com

There's something about Mary, but I can't find what she herself says about what she thinks.

Somebody agrees with me: <Maybe someone should, you know, wonder what Mary Cheney thinks about it? Of course, that would involve dragging her out of the closet they like to pretend she's in, even though she hasn't been there for a long time. [add: or any gay person, for that matter.]

...Lynne Cheney. Some parent. Silent when Republican attacks her daughter, outraged when a Democrat speaks of her respectfully.
