LIAR. By 1971, the decision to end the war was already a fait accompli. Nixon ran on ending the war "with dignity" in 1972. But his reluctant to end it with extreme prejudice cost thousands of additional US lives. Kerry and others like him pushed Nixon into ending it sooner and bringing the POW's and soldiers home sooner. If not for Kerry, the soldiers and POW's might have stayed an extra year or more.

So much for the smearvet campaign.
