E-day approaches. The clock has started and is winding down. Votes are being cast. D-14 D-13 D-12 The days go by in a blur. The Bush team is on a roll and will prevail. There are good people in both parties, but the leadership of the Democratic party failed miserably in their duties. Clinton might have been able to help, but he rose to power on his personality and could not transfer that to a successor. And his 8 years gave Democrats a false feeling of power which derived from self-congratulations and from having a Democrat in control. They lost track of the voters wishes and inputs, which is now being observed in the loss of Senate or House seats They misjudged the intelligence of the voters - people can have a great deal of horse sense and evaluate lies even without having a high IQ. They seem unaware that almost every voter has nearly daily complaints about their jobs, conditions, or the government. But those do not translate into a desire turn the government over to more inexperienced hands. Running a negative campaign failed. Especially, do not imply that America is failing, that we are bogged down in a war, that we can never win, that our economy is failing , that our friends are leaving, that we are spending too much, that SS will run out of money, and that our servicemen or old folks are not being taken care of. Thats the picture Kerry paints , and it is unwelcome in the home of the brave. Sig
