What AS evidently does not appreciate is that what Kerry
said in 1970 was a heartfelt belief on his part--something
from which he has never deviated. It slipped out in the first
debate when he spoke of a "global test."

Since that debate he and his handlers have scurried about
trying to nuance the comment, but have not quite been
able to eradicate the fact that he meant what he said--
he doesn't really advocate taking a proactive stand
and won't do anything unless it passes that "global test"
in advance.

When you couple this with his 1971 Senate testimony, his unprecedented interference at the Paris peace talks, his buddying up with the Sandinistas, his efforts in restoring relations with the North Vietnamese at the expense of POWs/MIAs, his Senate record on defense issues, his vote against the Gulf War, his approach to terrorism predicated on treating it as a police matter, his references to terrorism as a "nuisance", his suggestion to provide Iran with nuclear materials, his touting of the importance of forming coalitions except when it comes to dealing with North Korea where he inconsistently insists that unilateral talks should be favored over a multilateral approach, his criticism
of realigning of our military forces around the world undertaken in recognition of the end of the Cold War, his insults of our coalition partners at the same time he is claiming an ability to form coalitions, his comments about the situation in Haiti which provoked violence, and his overall lack of any track record whatsoever to support his claims of brilliant "plans" to do everything from make the paralyzed walk to multiplying the loaves and fishes available to the government for redistribution by the simple measure of repealing tax cuts for those earning over $200K/year,

well, what can I say, other than that he's the "wrong man, at the wrong place, at the wrong time" to be our President...........
