Ann- you live far enough away to see what they WANT you to see. Move 45 min closer and find what a pain most, not all, are. At a sawmill I did business with long ago I noticed one of the nice kids (about 17) was beat to a pulp. When asked how-- well about a month later he said his father had found a few buc ks he had been ab le to hide away over years and beat him until he was unconscious and then beat him some more. He wanted to leave but could not as he had no money unless an "English" would loan him $75. I gave him $200 and told him it was a gift although he insisted on taking my address. Eight months later a letter arrived at my PA home with 2- 100$ bills and a notye he had someone write. He thanked me for provideing the money so he could take a bus to WA (far enough away he would not be found and brought back) where he had a job with a logging company. He had someone contact his sister but the only message he recd was he had been 'shunned'. Yes- esp Lancaster county makes a buck off these people and they will sell to or steal from the English all they can.. vote?? Will you get them to pay taxes too???
