Kerry chose to base his candidacy on his 4 months in Vietnam. You tout his "war hero" status at every turn. You've commended him constantly as practically single-handedly ending the Vietnam War. That's all ancient history, but you and your boy bring it up all the time. Under the circumstances, the public has every right to examine what he's said in the past, including his very clearly expressed belief that U.S. forces should be dispersed around the world only at the direction of the UN, his claim to be an "internationalist", his liberal Senate voting record, and his otherwise lackluster Senate career, which showed little ability to form coalitions and consensus unless it came to something innocuous like renaming a federal building. As for supposedly "moving to the center," he only tried that well into this campaign.
