Fannie Mae off after formal SEC probe

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS.MW) -- Fannie Mae stock fell 4.1 percent in after-hours trading Tuesday after disclosing that the Securities and Exchange Commission's investigation into the company's accounting has escalated into a formal probe.

In recent late action, Fannie Mae (FNM: news, chart, profile) shares were trading at $65; the stock closed the regular session down $1.04 to $67.76.
