saw an interesting interview recently on TV
it was about getting the vote out, registration stuff
the past indicates only 30-40% of newly registered voters actually vote

as I recall, much heavier vote by Dems over Repubs

also, last time around in 2000, Repub vote was nowhere near as strong as the polls indicated

plenty of additional reasons to believe their voter turnout might be weaker now
war is going badly, economy not recovering

p.s. glad that goomba Nader got kicked off Pennsylvania ballot
I agree with much of what he says, but 3 of 4 of his votes would go to Kerry, if those people indeed took the trouble to vote at all
that is the big misconception about Nader
his votes would not be cast for either alternative (my guess)
