Asking Bush to apologize hasn't really anything to do with the women's perspective, it's so they can say "gotcha."

I agree that interjecting the women's perspective into that is silly. And I agree that many are looking for a gotcha. Still, never being able to acknowledge mistakes, which we all make, even a little one once in a while, is at best a character flaw and at worst a sign of mental illness. I think lots of reasonable folks who don't naturally identify with and gravitate to Bush would be reassured if they could see some indication of retrospection and self-examination.
