And he will sign the law that locks up the carpet-bagging ambulance-chasers in his second term.

The round-up should be televised. Buy stock in companies that make BARBED WIRE...

DEMOCRAT DEMAGOGUERY:
IMAGINARY INTIMIDATION
BY THE DEMOCRAT PLAYBOOK
Where No Voter Intimidation Exists,
Dems "Preempt" By Making It Up
___________________________________________________________________

"Democrats Got Caught With Their Election Playbook Open Thursday When A Leaked Page Was Published Urging Operatives To Lodge A 'Pre-Emptive Strike' Of Claiming Voter Intimidation, Whether It's True Or Not." (Peggy Lowe, "Democrat Playbook Opened To Criticism," Rocky Mountain News, 10/15/04)

DEMOCRATS' TRICK PLAY REVEALED LATE LAST WEEK

THURSDAY: Manual Tells Dems To Claim Voter Intimidation Even If It Doesn't Exist. "Democrats got caught with their election playbook open Thursday when a leaked page was published urging operatives to lodge a 'pre-emptive strike' of claiming voter intimidation, whether it's true or not. … 'If no signs of intimidation techniques have emerged yet, launch a pre-emptive strike,' rule No. 2 says. Then, the manual says the operatives should issue a press release 'reviewing Republican tactics used in your area or state.'" They should also quote 'party/minority/civil rights leadership as denouncing tactics that discourage people from voting.'" (Peggy Lowe, "Democrat Playbook Opened To Criticism," Rocky Mountain News, 10/15/04)

DAY AFTER DAY, DEMOCRATS STICK TO THE PLAYBOOK

LAST WEEK: ACT Flier Surfaced Showing Firefighter Hosing A Black Man. "Missouri's Republican Party and a former Democratic national chairman have called for a Democratic-aligned group to mothball a get-out-the-vote flier showing a 1960s snapshot of a firefighter hosing a black man and headlined: 'This is what they used to do to keep us from voting.' The America Coming Together handout, circulated in the past couple of weeks in St. Louis and Kansas City, accuses Republicans of conspiring to intimidate blacks to suppress their votes, engaging in such things as putting 'phony cops at polling places - but only in African-American neighborhoods.'" (Jim Suhr, "Republicans Question Group's Get-Out-The-Vote Fliers," The Associated Press, 10/17/04)

FRIDAY: Hillary Clinton Warned Of GOP "Shenanigans." "Clinton also warned Democrats to watch for GOP-orchestrated 'shenanigans' during upcoming voting … 'For an administration and a president who likes to go around talking about exporting democracy, it ought to start here at home, and they ought to protect the right to vote in America,' Clinton said."(Mary Anne Ostrom, "Sen. Clinton In S.F.," San Jose Mercury News, 10/16/04)

SATURDAY: Edwards Said Republicans "Up To Their Old Tricks...Trying To Keep People From Voting." "Sen. John Edwards, visiting the state that narrowly put President Bush in the White House in 2000 after a disputed recount and voting irregularities, issued a warning Saturday to Floridians about Republicans. 'We know they're going to be up to their old tricks, right, trying to keep people from voting,' Edwards told supporters gathered at a community block party." (Liz Sidoti, "Edwards: Republicans Will Be 'Up To Their Old Tricks,'" The Associated Press, 10/16/04)

SUNDAY: Edwards Ran Same Play, Claimed Republicans Trying To Keep People From Participating. "Sen. John Edwards asked black voters to help Democrat John Kerry in 'this march toward justice and equality' and urged Floridians to vote early as he continued a three-day tour of their state Sunday. …In an interview with local TV affiliates in Gainesville, Edwards claimed Republicans were trying to keep 'people participating to a minimum.'" (Liz Sidoti, "Edwards Courts Blacks, Promotes Early Voting In Florida," The Associated Press, 10/17/04)

ALSO ON SUNDAY: Election Day Task Force Member Eric Holder Repeated Disproved Registration Allegations. "If you look at what's happened in Nevada and Oregon, where democratic registration forms were destroyed. If you look at Michigan, where a state senator said the only way that we can win in Michigan is if we suppress the vote in Detroit. These are the kinds of things that we are watching, the kind of things we're going to prevent from happening as they did four years ago." (Fox News Sunday, 10/17/04)

MONDAY: DNC Spokesman Said Republicans Engaged In Voter Suppression For Decades. "'For decades, Republicans have engaged in systematic voter suppression and intimidation, from throwing minorities off the voter rolls to ripping up Democratic voter registrations,' said Jano Cabrera, a spokesman for the Democratic National Committee. 'We make no apologies for fighting these tactics by exposing the dirty tricks when they happen.'" (James Dao, "As Election Nears, Parties Begin Another Round Of Legal Battles," The New York Times, 10/18/04)
