Two weeks before the election you aren't going to change your mind, and you aren't going to change anybody else's mind. I already voted. I held my nose and voted for Kerry. I'm not trying to change anyone's mind about whom to vote for. People are going to do what they're going to do. Just as when I ask questions I'm looking for insight and understanding of other perspectives, when I make statements like that, I'm offering insight on a different perspective. I do this on the off chance that greater understanding might soften the harsh polarization just a tad. I realize that softening the harsh polarization is not an objective of many right now.
