The odd thing about Democrats pushing abortion and gay marriage as federal issues is that you're actually energizing the Religious Right, causing them to be far more politically active than they otherwise would be.

It's even causing blacks to vote Republican.

Some questions.

What makes abortion progressive?

What makes 'gay marriage'progressive?
(consider your answer and how it will fail to make polygamy or 'other' arrangements legal).

Embryonic stem cells have potential, but is there any moral or ethical line that can be drawn in research? Can we clone ourselves and 'harvest' organs for transplants 'disposing' of the host afterwards?
