Unemployment rate ignores the millions who have given up looking for work, young people looking for work, are part-time employed, under-employed or poorly self-employed. As opposed to the 90's when if you wanted a decent job you could definitely find one, even if you were a black inner city youth. The true rate under Bush is somewhere in the 15% range. And even those employed have less security and less health care coverage.
