Are we in a non-productive semantic quandary?

Don't we all makes decisions based upon information that is perceived as reliable at the moment of decision? Isn't all of science from chemistry to physics, based upon best estimation and probability?

Knowing that perception may be biased, retrospective arguments against the US’s entry into Iraq are at best flawed, or worse, hypocritically disingenuous.
