Reply to lost message - Osama got more than he bargained for. 911 was timed till after the assassination of charismatic northern alliance leader Masood. He figured w/o him we wouldn't be able to operate effectively in Afghanistan. Also he didn't foresee, Bush turning around Mushareff with his "with us or with the terrorists" hard line. All in all, he thought we'd be no stronger than the USSR, who the jihadis had defeated and less willing to fight. In fact, he said all these things. Calling conservatives fascists makes you sound like an extremist. What liberty do you think you have lost? Please be specific.
