I don't even know if there is much of an empirical issue with discrimination in these cases. I have known people hired in non- sensitive roles who were not of the denomination of the church doing the hiring. I would bet that it is a trivial matter, reaching no further than a handful of sensitive positions. In any case, irrational and invidious discrimination is not being promoted, rational discrimination is being accepted in a limited circumstance.
