The problem with these higher yield investments in the current environment, is the total value diminishes rather rapidly. I am not very up to speed on this, so there may some ways to get into them without the overall deterioration.

I'm 68 years old and don't want to see the grand total get smaller. Fortunately, I don't rely on the dividends for a living, hence, I'm able to take a little more risk.

To that end, I try to set aside a couple days a week and trade futures. Day trades... sometimes 3 or 4 of them. If I can spend the day without interruption, I can make a month's income in those couple of days... or not! ggg
