Well, from your side of the border, if one's thought is that the US dollar is more overvalued than any other major currency, then I would simply avoid imvestments that are denominated in US dollars that would have to be changed over to Canadian dollar when you liquidate the investment. In other words, avoid US gold mining companies. That shouldn't be too hard to do.

For me, if my currency is the 'worst' then I can buy company's anywhere outside the US, and expect, over time, some advantage.
