I was hoping that jla and I could have a holiday gift exchange. I'm thinking that idea might be in jeopardy. He didn't even send me a birthday card this year. jttmab

I am afraid, kidd, that you have once again failed to grasp the essential meaning of the key word in the sentence you are relying upon. The key word there is 'opinion'. When bantering about on these threads, intelligent posters who enjoy an exchange of verbal flames occasionally share information or, express their perspective, or their opinion; with eloquence, witicism, or jockularity and it adds a great deal of local color to the discourse. These 'words', however, have meanings kidd. Their meanings carry weight and value. A perspective is something quite different than a fact. It can be quite fair and humorous of redfish, for example, to refer to jlallen as a cockroach and suggest he be treated by insect spray. The referent humor comes from the fact that jlallen pesters him on occasion. It is red's 'perspective', you see, that jlallen is a pest and it qualifies therefore as a genuinely clever comment. It is based on factual information but it is unique to people who are effected by the way jlallen engages them. An opinion is something quite different as well. It is quite fair to have an opinion about which type of fruit is most enjoyable to eat. It is a mere preference that comes from what one knows about different fruit and from one's experience with eating fruit. Based on facts but having a personal preference that shapes the person's outlook. Lies and moral turpitude are not a matter of opinion. They are known entities. You know what a lie is and whether or not you tell a lie. You may know if someone else uttered a falsehood with intent to deceive if you can expose sufficient evidence of that fact. Lies are not opinion or perspective they are a moral determination based on the facts. When one repeatedly demonstrates that he cannot or will not distinguish this basic truth. That person exposes himself, as you have done, as one who is void of understanding. And with each of these events you have made a spectacle of yourself for all to see. You specifically stated that he has lied in most of his over 60,000 posts. The onus is upon you to qualify that charge which you have not and obviously can not do. Which exposes you as the most cowardly and depraved example of human existence that is possible. You are not dead yet, so there is room for change and improvement. You, however, are the only one who could possibly effect such a change...starting with an apology.
