What that article is trying to explain is that New Agers believe there is no real absolute truth. There is no right. There is no wrong. There is no such thing as evil. There is no such thing as good. One can do whatever they wish and there are no consequences. If you are a child molesting murdereer, well then thats your truth. Real New Agers are into astral projection, astrology, crystals, lots of meditation trying to achieve a higher self, enlightenment, things like this. The enlightenment or illuminating oneself is how they describe someone who has become as God by becoming in tune with the universe's secret and mystery knowledge. You won't find New Agers reading the bible but as you say they may pick and choose some quotes to try to suck people in. I don't know anything about the Community Bible Study. The meditations are trying to communicate with what they call ascended masters, higher level beings.
