The only true liberation comes when the oppressed claim it for themselves.

that's an important point to realize and i've not
heard it brought up much. i was going to bring it
up several times in the past year but i forgot and
fell asleep at my desk instead.

g'night s2

Scott,

I've finally found a poll that has some credibility:

editorandpublisher.com

Bush is the favorite of some of the most despicable, dysfunctional and disingenuous editors on the planet. He should be proud.

S2,

<here's my morning prediction...>

Your forecasting prowess has always been spot on! I am toast this morning...watched all the local sport shows last night. We had a couple of grizzled old sports guys who were moved to tears. This whole thing went right to the heart of Red Sox Nation's psyche....it is new for all of us...it changes your whole point of view! What's really interesting is that nobody has said word#1 about the Pats this weekend....that's 'cause there's the SERIES AT FENWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's fun at last being on the plus side of baseball history.

Now for the tougher part....the next game...they will stay focused...play their game and they will do just fine. They are solid end to end and they just love playing this game! the Astros and the Cards are great clubs...either way, it will be a great series.

Curt Schilling was wearing a wonderful tee-shirt. It was black with white letters saying "Why not us?"

These guys remind me of the 1970 Bruins when they won the Stanley Cup. They hadn't won in 30 years....and ya know the team they beat? You got it, St. Louis. The Bruins were a scruffy roustabout group, very lovable and played the game hard. Even though they had two giants (Orr and Esposito), it was a team effort with guys stepping up in each game. There are so many similarities between the two teams.

I am feeling the same way now as I did then....it's time to make history! We have the Pats, now it's the Sox time to step into the sunlight.
