Theresa didn't think Laura had ever had a job. When she was informed that Laura had been a teacher over 30 years ago, she apologized for her gaffe. She certainly wasn't slamming teachers - that's rightwing desperation making that leap. Besides, wingers put their kids in private schools because they hate public schools. It's hypocritical of them to mischaracterize Theresa's statement and then whine about it. But that's par for their course. You're correct. It's an odd world when you have to apologize because you don't know of what someone else did 30 years ago, but if you tell a member of the Senate to GFY, it's ok. jttmab

Karen, private schools don't have teachers???? Hell private school teachers are paid a lot less, why do they do it then? Because they love to teach to kids who want to learn
