Well, let's assume for the sake of the argument that the Supreme Court actually erred in Bush v. Gore. Would that not be worse? I'm not arguing which is the greater evil. I'm contemplating the disaster that would result from Congress picking this year, following 2000. It would make the bickering in 2000 look quaint. As to Harris, it's my recollection that the Florida election laws were clear that except in the case of fraud or natural disaster, the deadlines were set. Let's not go back over that, though. Not enough time in my day to dig that dirt again. Derek
