Yes, Twain had a rather jaundiced view of both Christians and liars. <g> I'd love to see what he would have made of this bunch, though I suppose The War Prayer comes close. I don't much care which one of them is lying, bu the description in that article of Bush on the eve of the invasion as being "the most self-assured man I've ever met in my life ... like, 'I'm on top of the world' " appalled me.
