Both sports plays were way over paid for - There are very few who will listen and almost none will be motivated enough to buy either brand for this reason.

These deals make the Howard Stern deal look cheap as HS will bring several million listeners, people who will plunk down money and buy subscriptions.

I'm both a sports fan and a HS listener. I have no interest in listening to an out of market baseball or football game. If I were, I'd get one of the cable or satellite packages and WATCH. In my car, I rarely listen to a game at this point. So the target audience is someone who both out of market and in his car at the time of the game. Not many in that universe in my opinion.

Stern - OTOH - a good percentage of his fanatics, will follow him and pay up.
