On the contrary Ms. Dowd is not stupid: she is a highly respected and respectable journalist. She writes incisively with flair and style and wit. In calling her stupid, you are displaying your ignorance.

Ms. Dowd is not beholden to either political party: she knocks politicians on both sides. For example, Kerry came under criticism about a month ago. Now she rakes Bush over the coals.
