Public "polls" are ALWAYS BS-grist for Blowhard Bill O'Reilly and other pseudo-populist charlatans to spin their wheels on.

The parties private research dictates where their money goes, and movement of the principals in the last few days gives that data away.

Kerry will be mostly in states where the carnival-barkers say he's a shoo-in: Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey.

Bush wouldn't be showing up in Jersey if it was a goner, and he's likely to be in Michigan and Wisconsin in the last 5 days. Not the kind of travel of a candidate who's number-crunchers have written those states off.

Both candidates will be seen again in Ohio. But for Bush it's CLOSING THE DEAL, while for Kerry it's a LAST DESPERATE GAMBLE. At the end of the day, Bush pushes 60% in Ohio, and the Democrat excuse-makers spend the next 20 years whining, "Kerry wasted his time in Ohio, and it cost him New Jersey and Pennsylvania."

Don't believe that self-serving revisionism though. What should Kerry DO now that they have told him it's OVER? Go goose hunting?...
