The history of a large majority of the world's nations show that countries with democracy and capitalism prosper. Countries with communism, socialism or other factors that restrict capitalism end up failing, or suffering from weak economies and in the long run, worse standards of living than would be otherwise. Study history and you'll see that these are the facts. East Germany vs. West Germany. Russia vs. USA.

Liberalism has the same detrimental effects on the economy and standards of living as anything else that puts a damper on capitalism.

You guys all have defined liberalism according to your own bias to demonize it.

What about liberal policies that are responsible for corporations not polluting the water we drink and the air we breath? Those policies are certainly not having a negative effect on the standard of living for everyone. Economics is NOT the only basis to decide what has been good for society.

Your black and white generalizations reveal a shallow thought process that wants it's side to be always right and the other side to be always wrong. Life isn't so cut and dried simplistic.
