"And if you make too much of an effort to try and equalize things its likely to make the pie's growth stop or to at least slow it down."

Is that a threat because it sure feels like one?

That sounds really paranoid.

My statement was in no way a threat. I have no desire and no ability to carry out any such threat.

Its just a description of reality. If the rich (and BTW I am not among their number) face too much of an effort to tear them down they will put less effort in to building the pie up.

And it just kills me that you feel the need to defend the rich.

"I only see a need to defend them because they are attacked. There is nothing wrong with being rich."

There is nothing wrong with the rich but that doesn't give them license to abuse those beneath them.

The vast majority of the rich do not abuse others, at least not more than people in general do.

If they grow richer faster then everyone else that doesn't mean they are abusing everyone else or that they deserve to be attacked or have their wealth confiscated.
