Is there anyone anywhere on this planet that thinks rising oil prices have an impact? Maybe they are all confused LOL...

Wouldn't higher oil prices typically hit us in our pocketbook across a broad spectrum of goods... not just at the 'pumps' etc... but with productivity and labour arbitrage, China competition blah blah... maybe the lack of pricing power is being confused for lack of energy price effect... or being spun that way anyway...

Aren't higher energy prices inflationary until pricing power is exhausted or margins get too thin... and then deflationary.... but we haven't had much (any ??) pricing power have we ?

BTW avg home prices in Toronto are officially pegged at 6% higher than last year.... Homes are staying on the market longer in my neighbourhood and we are seeing more signs that say New Price lately... a nice euphemism for REDUCED :o)

100$ oil ?
What ? me worry ...
