At this point? If they stay this way, it can't help but spur inflation, no? I was stunned at grocery prices the other day. They have gone up here noticeably. And how can you spend when you only have 30 to 50 dollars extra a week, but now a big chunk of that goes to gas, and to pay for things that are more expensive because of the rise in gas. Discrentionary spending for those making less than 40 grand or so a year will vanish. It's gas for the car, food, and heating. all gone then.
