Andrew Sullivan wrote that there was a generation gap on the reaction to kerrys cheney remark. Age 40 was his cutoff. I maintain same for Teresas comments about laura. I am talking politics here not what voters should be basing their decisions on according to folks like us.
Teresa had a day job before she married heinz just like laura but this is largely unknown while laura is well known. These are campaign failings and have consequences even if its minor stuff. I think the kerry gaffe on cheneys kid and teresas on laura show a lack of understanding on how the boomer vote might be impacted. I have two words for you--Reagan democrats. Perceived eco self interest traded in for Values and perceived strong fp. Thats why i think we are at a tipping point in this election with momo building for bush. But i thought that last week too and was wrong. News can always negate this trend or enhance it. mike
