Typical democrat..hit and run.. 2 men throw pies at columnist during speech Associated Press Oct. 22, 2004 07:00 AM TUCSON - University of Arizona police arrested two men who ran on stage and threw custard pies at conservative columnist Ann Coulter as she was giving a speech on campus. One of the thrown pies glanced off Coulter's shoulder, according to UA police who did not immediately release the identities of the arrested men. In her half-hour speech Thursday night, Coulter trashed Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry. She also derided liberals and Democrats and saluted the conservative students who attended her speech for being responsible and intelligent new voters. Coulter writes a column for Universal Press Syndicate. Her appearance here was sponsored by the UA College Republicans.
