Mary Cluney, I don't know about why CB admires Bush, but know why I do. The list you made is a sarcastic attempt to goad a person, and that makes you pretty low as a poster.

I admire Bush, because he does what he says he will do. He has done things to protect, and defend, America, even when it was not popular to do so. He has integrity. All Kerry has is smoke, and mirrors.

As usual, the things you bring up are superficialities. Fluff. I have zero desire to sit around and have drinks with Bush, and I don't care what he reads. Things that Bush believes in, that I believe in (in no particular order)

Free enterprise and capitalism.
Lower taxes.
Making the world more likely to have freedom, free enterprise, and democracy by preserving the Pax Americana. The UN does not preserve peace, it is a forum. The United States preserves peace, like it or not. Which means that we need a strong military.
Smaller federal government, except for stronger military.
Judges who will follow the Constitution and the law.
Caps on non-economic damage awards and punitive damage awards.
Pre-emptive strikes against nations that willingly harbor terrorists.
Defending the safety of the US even if every other country in the world wishes we'd be vanquished and defeated.
No negotiating with terrorists, which includes Arafat.
Keep the US out of ridiculous international idiocies like Kyoto and international criminal courts.

So what is it about George W. Bush you care about?

His leadership in a time of war!!! His backbone. This is what counts. Everything else is can be put on the back burner. (Please note that I did not say ignored.) Security and safety of this nation is numero uno! Period.
