You're right, if your only concern is making an extra buck. But, the other side of the same problem is that the American consumer wants the lowest price... if ketchup were made in New Jersey, for example, a bottle of ketchup would have to cost $25 dollars a bottle in order to pay the people working in the factory there. You can't have it both ways. As long as the consumer will buy only the least expensive item, then you're going to find outsourcing... I don't have a problem with that, but kerry is campaigning on that issue as if he'll become the champion of all the unemployed by bringing back all those offshore companies and forcing them to create jobs here at home... it's nonsense, but he makes these claims just to get your vote... he knows it cannot be done, he understands the economics, but he'll say anything to the unsuspecting voter just to get elected...
