Oh there's an intelligent reply. What could he have done? Showed up and been in the way for all those fleeing people when the towers fell? Do you think Bush made any decisions on his safety during an attack on the US? Or do you think the Secret Service maybe had some say so? Think! These weak, petulant, whiny arguments don't mean a thing except that you are incapable of individual thought. ::whiny voice on:: Excuses and lies, that's all you people have. You keep trying to convince yourself of that. Meanwhile, Bush will continue to DO things while Kerry continues to ACT like he can do anything.

The only valid criticism might be regarding what could have been done prior to 911 with intelligence. Most of us at the time could see that this would not have been foresee-able no matter who was in office at the time. Base on our culture at the time, if any sitting president had started cracking down on suspicious characters, we would likely have objected. So there isn't really reasonable blame to lay on Bush regarding the pre 911 period. Complaining about the 7 minutes is counter productive. The smartest thing to do was to sit tight until his staff and advisors had an action plan in place. That is what he did. In the mean time there was no point in jumping up and acting like a chicken with its head cut off with no place to go and nothing to do.
