You tried to change the subject from the major issue of Kerry's dismal record for 20 years to his absenteeism from the Senate 76% of the time. I specifically noted that that was BEFORE he was campaigning for President. So, both points are valid. He has shown NO leadership in the Senate, and was absent during much of it.

Of course, as others have pointed out, Kerry did manage to show up often enough to oppose Reagan's successful efforts to end the Cold War, voted against intelligence and defense spending, and voted for increased taxes.
