Even wahoo dean at least would have crystallized and not muddled the iraq war issue. Do you think that there is a chance that bush2 will be better than bush1 regarding iraq? I have some hope that after both elections we will give them an exit date and they will be forced to confront their own demons knowing we are leaving. A 10 year war would be a disaster for both countries. OTOH if we are out quickly and some semblance of order and fairness in govt returns, our stature and influence there may actually rise. mike
