Elmat,I stick with my view that supply and demand are NOT the reason for the rising price of oil.
I am seeing more and more speculation about oil prices being held high as a way of punishing the USA for their bullying trade policies and their illegal invasion of Iraq...

>>How much an adjustment in the heater by one degree Celsius will save in heating oil?<<

Depending on the size of the house, the outside temp. as well as how is the insulation of the house. In mid-west winter, one degree does not make much dif. but 5-10 degree makes big dif. One month can save anywhere bet. $100-$300.

Quite a few friends of mine adjust their house temp. in winter at 60 F. or so during the day time, and only raise to 65 after they come back from work in order to save some money<g>. And a friend in CA does not use heater at all in winter, so sometimes their house is as cold as 55 degrees.
