Uncapped damages and frivolous lawsuits from ambulance chasers is a huge problem for companies trying to manufacture vaccines in the US.

When the administration wanted to pass a legislation that caps damages at 250K, JK and other democrats opposed the bill.

Because damages from lawsuits are not capped, essentially the liability insurance goes up exponentially, leading to this :

50 to 80 percent of the cost of most vaccines is liability insurance.

The rest of the article is here - interesting reading for understanding the consequence of not having tort-reform :

Next time you wonder who is responsible for the missing US flu vaccines, look for the ambulance chasers --- they chased out the vaccine manufacturers.

Look also at the members of congress that are blocking tort reform and don't want any cap at all on the judgment or the fee that ends up in the attorney's bank account.
