You moron! The surplus was nothing more than political projections made at the peak of one of the greatest stock market bubbles in history. Only an idiot like you would take peak financial projections and extrapolate that into the future.

The fact of the matter is that the stock market bubble started to collapse during Clinton's last year in office and the recession that followed in early 2001 was directly related to the negative wealth effects at the individual and corporate levels created by the evaporation of all those capital gains. 9/11 merely pushed the economy faster and deeper into negative territory but what self-loathing Americans like you don't understand is that the US economy is more resilient and forward-looking than many foreigners think because the American people are more resilient and forward-looking than many people give them credit for, but what else is new, pussycat?<g>

From the Compassionate Conservative Bush...........President Bush’s campaign suggests the country would be vulnerable to terrorists under a John Kerry presidency in a TV ad that shows prowling wolves in a forest and says “weakness attracts those who are waiting to do America harm.”

23 million jobs? As CEO of the Federal Bureaucracy are you claiming 23 million additional Federal workers were hired under Clinton?
