This election is about Bush and his failures, not Kerry. All Kerry needs to do is appear an acceptable more honest alternative with some smarter plans. Bush is a failure and everyone knows it. Only 36% of voters say we're on the right track per today's Pew Poll.

"It matters not what we do or say here... "

These words ring in my head as do.. "It's all sound and fury signifying nothing... "

No matter how we reassure one another that John Kerry needs to be elected president but more importantly George Bush has to go ... a gnawing doubt grabs my insides..

Last night had occasion to talk to friends in Florida. This friend has a Kerry/Edwards sticker on her car. She said that amongst a group we know... and socialize with, politics has been a no no. They agreed not to discuss it or issues.
WHY

More than 4/5th are voting for Bush. I was astounded.
You have to be kidding me I said. No, she replied. They think he has done a great job defending our nation.

It makes me want to go bury my head as an ostrich Pat...I don't even want to go back to Florida and socialize with these imbeciles... That's what I think but these are decent, caring individuals.

And so I come to these boards and read what you all are posting and in my heart I know it's true, but do you really think we stand a chance ? I am beginning to doubt it.
