To the Editor: Re "A War Without Reason,'' by Bob Herbert (column, Oct. 18): How is it possible that there is at least one-half of the country that still supports a president who misled us into war, botched the handling of the occupation and seriously increased the level of hatred and potential terrorism in the world directed at the United States? How many more lives and mistakes can we put into this man's hands? Mr. Herbert's voice is a clear statement of the unfortunate reality in which we Americans live.
