I'll dumb it down for you. The reason Duelfer's comments regarding Saddam's intent to restart his WMD program are being ignored by the mainstream press are: 1) Duelfer's comments re: future intent are speculative 2) Duelfer's comments re: future intent are irrelevant 3) Intelligence reports concerning Iraq have been wildly inaccurate. There is no reason to believe Duelfer's report regarding Saddam's "intent" is more accurate that previous reports. 4) History has proven that Saddam is incapable of mounting a significant, credible military threat.
