Yes-- I pop a few here and at the club too. I have a Remington semi-- old but like a friend. So old it is inly chambered for 3". I carried a 12 ga at times. Mostly it was just hanging uncomfortably. The sound once I thought was effective, if not the 00.
<<"Don't hear much about flechette rounds anymore. But damn they are effective and still in use.">> Rarely hear of them. Actually, they were used more than talked about in the '60s too. Effective-- very and brings back memories too.

No-- the oldstyle shoulder holsters only looked good in the Rambo (and Kerry) flicks. No LBE worn,, no shirts either! I have an ankle rig for my 357 but it is too uncomfortable as the weapon is too heavy-- but it works when clothing will not support any other carry method. With a shirt out it goes easily behind my back-- but it is too slow to grab.

Another memory-- and just think if the local constabulary had 40mm with anti-personnel round for crowd control. No more crowds.

On the dance floor at my wedding my little auto slid out of my ankle rig-- made some really wonder,,LOL. Only 007 could carry concealed under a tux. Guess I should have strapped a Ka-bar there instead <smile>.

<<I carried a 12 semi-auto on OPs a coupla times. Never got comfortable with the short range. >>

00 buck is ugly out to 100 yards. Need more range? Use cutter rounds. Cutter rounds is back in the days of lead shot. You cut the shell case all the way around the wad. Shot, front of the case and the wad came out as one slug. Came apart when it hit.
