the common thread in Latin America is socialism and communism. ~Eh...~ I do not believe it was reflexive socialism or whatever you are espousing. At the time of Gulf War 1, the LA's I came across all believed that we (America) were in it for the oil. No one adhered to the fending off an invasion of Kuwait storyline. Now I think how awful it must have been for those citizens outside of the county when Gulf War 2 started. We had much less international support. Ouch!
