The Democratic party is always disorganized. Will Rogers once quipped: "I'm not a member of any organized political party, I'm a Democrat."

That is not decay.

Several members of GOP (my party) have talked about a "civil war" in the party starting November 3rd. Too many people are tired of the far right agenda and want a more mainstream party.

The far right is talking about leaving the GOP (assuming Bush loses) and forming a social conservative party. That might split the GOP in half.
