Univ. of Fla. for only a very select few students that they felt were exceptional offered the one year course in one semester. It wasnt on line, it was classroom and lab same as normal just squeezed together. There were a number of prerequisites that one had to have to qualify though. My son always took the highest level courses, part of his junior year in high school and nearly all of his senior year in high school he spent at FAU (a local college) taking courses in lieu of HS courses. He entered college at the middle of the sophomore year in terms of credits.
If you are a chemistry fellow here is a FUNNY STORY FOR YOU. My son took CHEMISTRY at FAU his Senior year of HS. The professor he had was very tough and BRAGGED that NO STUDENT ever scored higher then 60 (out of a 100) on his tests and he thus adjusted the scores to achieve an acceptable passing rate. Well my son scored 92 on his mid semester exam (guy only had 2 exams). The professor called me up at home and I went in to see him. He told me my son screwed up his system and wanted to know his background. When I told him my son was a SENIOR IN HIGH SCHOOL he nearly SHIT, he was thinking my son was a transfer student from another college!! haha. jdn
